The Twits + Kiwi Team Celebration this week

Room 10 has been doing a book study on The Twits by Roald Dahl.

It is a hilarious novel that tells a story about a husband and wife who love to prank each other in the most crazy and disgusting ways.

We have been doing descriptive writing in class and The Twits has been a perfect example to teach us about descriptive language.

Today we brainstormed in groups different adjectives to describe Mr and Mrs Twit.

On Friday at our Kiwi Team Celebration, we will share our wonderful drawings and character descriptions!

We hope to see you there!

Golden Time!

This week Room 10 students have been working super duper hard to get themselves onto our superstar on the board for the entire week... because that means they get to enjoy Golden Time on a Friday.

Today we got to have lots of fun blowing bubbles outside on the field. There was lots of wind which made for some pretty awesome bubbles flying all over the place! It was very cool watching the children's excitement and the amazing language they were using to describe the different bubbles.

After we had used up all our bubble mixture we headed back inside the classroom to brainstorm all the different adjectives we could think of to describe the bubbles. On Monday we will begin our descriptive writing about the bubbles! I can't wait to share some of our writing with everyone next week. In the mean time, here are some photos!
